HDMI Auto Switch

Ronnie Dec 03, 2014 02:02AM CST

Is it possible for the HDMI auto switch to detect my HDMI signal as soon as I turn on an HDMI source? For example I want to turn on my Wii U. I have the Wii U HDMI plugged into my RL2455HM and it will not automatically switch to the HDMI signal unless I set it manually from the Input menu. Only when I turn the Wii U off does the auto switch function seem to work, as it automatically switches back to DVI, but not the other way around.

Hi Ronnie,

You can enable HDMI auto switch under the system menu, but it will only automatically change over if there is currently no other signal being fed to it. This is done because although the monitor is getting a new signal, the user may not want to change inputs at that moment (for example, if I’m working on homework but turn on my Xbox because I’m going to play in a few minutes but I haven’t finished the homework yet).
