Black Screen on XL2735 after RTX 2080 driver update 416.84

WRHD Nov 09, 2018 10:38AM CST

After updating nvidia gpu driver I have black screen (no signal). From their forum I got info that this problem is up when the 144Hz is set and below that works fine. The only fix for that is to update benq firmware panel for this XL series as they told me here(https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1079181/geforce-drivers/official-416-81-game-ready-whql-display-driver-feedback-thread-released-11-8-18-/14/). With the previous driver from Nvidia I did not had any problem with monitor. Maybe there's other solution to fix that problem because for me it's not fine to spend over 700$ for monitor and be not able to use 144Hz :/

You’ll need to roll back to the previous driver release until nVidia issues a new driver to correct the problem. It is not a firmware issue on the monitor. A good rule of thumb: if you change the driver, and that breaks the thing, it’s the driver that’s the problem. nVidia has had lots of issues on driver releases, so this isn’t unusual, especially on their newer cards.
