Benq BL2710PT multiple problems

Max Apr 22, 2018 05:19AM CDT

Hello, i've been having trouble with my Benq BL2710PT monitor for the past couple months. At first it started flickering. Maybe out of the 60 fps the monitor displayed 25%-50% were black. It would instantly get fixed by me just turning it off and then on again and it wouldnt happen again for weeks. That was in winter 2017 and now in april 2018 it got to where it actually happens multiple times a day. I found out that turning the brightness from 100% to less than 80% would make it stop doing it so often but it would still happen, also weirdly moving or vibrating the monitor would make it temporarily stop.

But that's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is a portion of the backlight stopped working randomly too, it's been happening for a week and it went away sometimes after i left the monitor cooldown but this time it's permanent(as of it happening last night and this morning it's still like this). https://imgur.com/a/wfZVm

The monitor is from 2015 so it's out of warranty I just want to know how repairable it would be because it's my main monitor i use for working since it has accurate colors.

Hello Max,

Sorry to hear about the monitor issues. I really wish this was sent in while you were still under warranty. We could have helped.

We would really need to run diagnostics to see the extent of the failure and price of the repair. If the back light bleed is excessive then the panel would need to be replaced.

Please let us know if you would like to proceed.

Thanks
