Monitor software does not install on my Mac

Malcolm Linton Jan 28, 2018 06:32PM CST

How do I enable my Mac to install the Palette Master software package that I downloaded from BenQ's site?
I downloaded the zip file named Palette Master Element for Mac OSX 10.13.2 and clicked on it to unzip the installer. But when I double-clicked the installer, a pop-up appeared on my screen, as follows:

“Mac_palette_master_element.pkg” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store and identified developers.
Chrome downloaded this file today at 6:13 PM from www.benq.us.

My computer is a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.13.2.

I tried to solve the problem by going into my Chrome security preferences. I turned off the option "Protect you and your device from dangerous sites," but this made no difference.

Anyone have any advice?

Hello Malcom,

You would have to change your security settings on your Mac. Here is a how to link.
