HT2050 and Yamaha RX-V583

Les Hall Nov 14, 2017 06:51PM CST

I just replaced my PE7700 with a HT2050 after consulting you about no video being available using the Yamaha Receiver. It was said that it was 12 years old and might not be compatible. So I purchased the HT2050 and I still have the same problem. If I go directly into the projector with my dvd player I get video. But, if I go through the receiver no video. I can plug the receiver into a lcd tv and I get video. Any ideas?

Hello Les,

I could either be the signal strength through the receiver or something in the Yamaha Receiver.

The projector needs a good sturdy signal where as the TV can take a weak signal and boost it up. So comparing the two devices isn’t a equal comparison.
The signal strength goes down with every connection or device and also over distance.

What is the supporting version HDCP for the Yamaha Receiver?

Is the projector set to HDMI or is it on Auto. Please try both options.

Thanks
