At the time I bought my GW2765HT at NCIX, the salesperson said that if there are less than 7 dead pixels, it is NOT covered by manufacturer's warranty. They offered to sell me "express coverage" for 24 CAD to cover this contingency for 30 days.
Can someone clarify the BENQ policy on dead pixels? I found it astonishing and disappointing there is such lousy quality control that I would need to be sold extra warranty.
it is basically done away with at this point. there isn’t an official policy on this but we implement it all the same. its done on a case by case basis, really. For a 1440p 27 inch IPS screen that you have there, we would replace it for you on the spot, no matter how many pixels you have. If its like a 90 dollar refurbished or used monitor that you bought with a dead pixel off to the right somewhere, then we would have to think about how to proceed based on the case.
so, if you do happen to get that specific screen with dead pixels in it, get a hold of us and we will replace it for you.
