To get 'full resolution' out of the SW2700PT what type of cable must I use to connect the monitor to my PC? I have an older HP (h8-1520t), i7 but no data port. Any other hardware I need to install on the PC? Thanks in advance.

Hello Ron,

Any A/V cable can support the 1440p on this monitor but in order to get the 10 bit color you would need Display Port or DP cable. Your graphics card would need to be able to produce the 10 bit color also.

If you don’t have a USB port on the HP, then it would not be able to communicate with Palette Master calibration software. If you use a colorimeter for calibration, you can still use the software that comes with the colorimeter.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
