I'm wondering if I received a faulty monitor. None of the USB downstream inputs work with neither my Wacom tablets nor my external hard drive. I tested both with a direct connection to my MacBook, and they power fine there.
Sorry to hear about the USB problems you are having. First off is the USB cable supplied hooked up to the monitor?
Next I would check to see if the HDD and the tablet have an external power source and make sure it’s connected.
Try test the ports on the monitor with another device like a thumb drive. (No external power needed)
