USB Disconnecting when Monitor Sleeps

JOhn Feb 15, 2018 07:34AM CST

When my lock the screen of my computer, my PD3200U will show the Ctrl-Alt-Del screen. At a few minutes the screen will go to sleep. During that time the USB will disconnect and reconnect with the computer over and over until I move the mouse and the screen turns back on.

What method can I use to prevent this from happening? I've installed drivers but that did nothing.

Thank you

Hello John,

Sorry to hear about the USB connection issue you are having. I believe we would need to re-flash the firmware for this issue.

Please fill out this return RMA form and we can set you up to get a quick repair.

Your Case ID is 107119

  • Please save the form and then fill it out and return the attached e-form(s) and a proof of purchase by replying to this email. You should be able to fill out the form on your computer, save & return to us. We prefer e-form via email for readability and accuracy, but can accept faxes at the number on the form, if that’s more convenient for you. Once we received, we can complete the processing and will return to you an RMA number, if approved, and shipping information.

Thanks, BenQ America Tech Team 1-866-600-2367

This is happening on 6 monitors at this time (2 monitors on 3 machines). Not sure if a firmware flash will do it. Is there a way I could flash it locally?

Hello John,

It is usually done in-house at our facility in California. I will email our field technicians and see if we can set up a walk through over the phone.

Certain hardware and cables might be needed if we can proceed over the phone.
