I have four BenQ 2450HT monitors that all share a common problem. The bottom corners will go dimmer then the rest of the monitor then eventually this problem manifests itself across the entire monitor. I had a three monitor setup initially and when the problem occured on the first one I replaced it bringing me to four 2450HT's. When the second started having issues I stopped replacing them with 2450HT's. I've lived with my leftmost and rightmost monitors having dim corners and the primary center monitor being the only one with no issues. Today the center monitor is now failing and i'm at a point where i have to look into my options. I need to either replace them, repair them, or figure out how to troubleshoot the problem away.
When turning the monitor off and then on again, it will work fine for a unknown amount of time then start going dim in the corners, then totally black some time after that. I am confused at what this issue could be. Clearly the backlight still works since when you turn it off and on again it works for random amount of time after that. My conclusion is that it may be a capacitor issue?
These monitors are horribly out of warranty so I'm not sure it would be any cheaper to repair them as it would be to replace them. Any ideas on this issue?
Here are some images of the issue:
