Wireless FHD kit: Yea or Nay?
In this day and age, we strive to make everything wireless for convenience, and AV world is no exception. There are a few wireless streaming solutions out there, but today we will talk about our own FHD (Full High Definition) Kit for the HT series projectors.

What you get: when you purchase one of these, you get a transmitter and receiver components for the kit. The receiver goes to the projector and the transmitter goes to where all of your AV sources are. It has 2 HDMI in ports for up to 2 sources and an HDMI out port to stream to an external display. It also has a mini USB port for Firmware updates and such as well as an IR out for an IR extender and finally a power jack.

The receiver box is smaller than the transmitter and it comes with a special bracket that allows you to attach the receiver to the projector itself and it has an HDMI out to go into the projector. Note that the bracket attachment as well as power is only available on the HT1075 and HT1085ST projector models, but this kit is backwards compatible with pretty much anything that has HDMI input, the only caveat is that you will need to get additional USB to AC adapter to plug the receiver box to the outlet. The advantage of the TH series projectors is that they have powered USB ports to which you can connect the receiver with a provided USB cable.

Along with that you get a remote control, a plethora of power adapters and more USB cables. This thing supports range of up to 100 feet and will work through walls if you have the need to do so.

As far as performance, I am a little bit old fashioned so I prefer a hard wired connection over anything wireless, however this kit makes a very compelling argument for going wireless in AV space. It may not be for me, but if your wish is to not destroy half of your house just to run some cables through the walls, then this thing is definitely for you.
